What is this place?


This blog was originally started several years ago, and alas, not really steadily kept up. What it was for originally was a place to voice my views and opinions regarding today's state of affairs in the world and politics. However, since then, while I still follow news and such, I just can't invest that roller coaster ride of emotions that go from incredulity to disgust. Things happen in life and you realize that there are more important things to worry or spend your time on than rants that really won't matter in the larger scheme of things. 

 So, I still keep this blog but it is going in a new direction. This is a place of where to come to where I can show my words of wisdom, what I have done that others might want to do for themselves, and so on and on. 

 Bring up a cuppa and join me in my adventure of self-discovery and sage words.

Ah, so the wheel turns and with that comes change. We are always changing, moving with the river that is constantly heading to new places. My not-so-forgotten blog is going through a change as I have done so over the years. With personal life changes of emotional, mental, and spiritual, there has been many things I have discovered and even rediscovered.  I have many beliefs that have been buried and now are resurfacing and it has led to a path of finally being content with the person I am. What's Going On...

I am so horrible for not getting into a regular habit of updating my own blog. However, since the last post, quite a bit has happened this past year. Things are not so personally chaotic or tense with me anymore. Why? I have departed ways with a former roommate and friend. While I needed the space and time away from her, at this point having not heard from her, I figure that this is one of those people that has walked on out of my life. Experiences are what make your journey richer, the good or bad. As such, the people in your life add to it, whether good or bad. I tend to see goodness in people and that is why I have them in my life. When they leave and continue on their own journey, I wish them well. Sometimes it is with a sense of sadness, sometimes with relief. My friend who has decided to not remain in contact, it is a mixed bag. I wish her well, for she has a lot to overcome as she undergoes her own personal journey of growth and blossoming into full adulthood. I knew this is

My Little Buddha

My friends see this little guy every time they are by my desk. The way he sits, what is around him, is not happenstance. I'm not Buddhist by any means but I saw this statue at TJ Maxx and thought, how serene and peaceful he is. I had this red tray for years and used it for odds and ends but since living on my own, it has become my little desktop altar.  Spirituality is very intuitive, I believe. With this, these items all have a calling to me. I can't exactly say how or why but the energy helps center and puts me in a better state of mind. Even changing it up every now and then is a bit of a ritual. Sometimes there will be a votive candle with him.  Since our desks is a place where we do work, finances, and gaming, something that helps give a bit of peace is needed. It is something that our eyes can rest on for just a moment and just remind us to "relax".  Trust me, with the holidays coming up and tax season after that, we need all that we can get! :D
